National isolation, ongoing disputes about how to deal with refugees, rising populism: the EU is not in a good state. “How to change Europe?” was therefore the central question at the discussion of the Frankfurter Rundschau and the Karl Gerold Foundation on Wednesday evening in Frankfurt’s Haus am Dom, which was moderated by FR editor Andreas Schwarzkopf. The answer was as simple as it was complicated: The EU needs “a new narrative”.
